There are a couple stats about halfway down this page that befuddle me. 53% of the US identifies itself as Protestant, and in a different question 46% of the US classifies itself as ‘born again’ or ‘evangelical’. Assuming cases of born-again Catholics and Jews are quite rare, does this mean that almost all Protestants are born-again? (Also, where are Moslems, Hindi etc. in the poll – part of the 6% ‘other religion’ only? Seems kinda low.)
Further down the page: 23% of Americans think Sept 11th was predicted by the Book of Revelation.
Well all that religio-nonsense would explain:
