Once Upon A Time in the West
It made me cry three times during my last viewing, and that was only the first half. Two times were because of the music, the other was because of this speech:
You know, Jill, you remind me of my mother. She was the biggest whore in Alameda, and the finest woman that ever lived. Whoever my father was, for an hour or for a month, he must have been a happy man.
One of my favourite films, no question.
This is like the third post today I’ve seen on this movie. Why is everyone seeing it right now? And is this why there’s a “very long wait” to get it from Netflix? And why did I happen to add it to my Netflix queue recently? More importantly: What the “frig” is going on around here?
Mmm, not sure. All I can tell you is that it’s only just out on DVD (november) and the remastered version saw a limited re-release in theatres around the same time. So, many die-hard fans are only recently getting a chance to see it proper-like.
